Covid Safe Plan
As part of our response, Warehouse Circus has written a Covid Safe plan. This document was created to be in line with current ACT Health recommendations. As part of this plan we require all students to:
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after class
Make use of hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes after using any equipment
Keep a 1.5m distance between themselves and other participants
Stay home if you are feeling unwell
Everybody who enters a Warehouse Circus training space will have their temperature checked by contact-free thermometers. Any person registering over 37.5 degrees will be sent home and asked to visit a medical professional before returning to training.
All our equipment is cleaned thoroughly after each use to minimise any risk of cross contamination.
We got through all the serious stuff! Yay! Now some exciting news:
30th Anniversary Show!
Performance troupe have been busy creating and training for the Warehouse Circus major show, coming to a theatre near you...
…soon?
Originally scheduled for Sept/Oct this year, plans are still in the works to present this beautiful new work to the world.
The next plan was to get award winning circus videographic artist Chris Bennett to come and film it for us as a video artwork, but now he's in lockdown in Melbourne, just like Tom.
So, the show continues to be performed, presented, shown off, somewhere, sometime, hopefully at a great theatre in Belconnen, and hopefully with an audience sitting in loud admiration.
We'll see how we go!
The circus needs you!
Do you have a passion for passing on knowledge? Watching people grow and learn with your help?
How does a job as a circus trainer sound?
Flexible hours (get your sleep in!), consistent shifts, and opportunities to use our training space after hours - it really is the perfect job for a circus artist. Especially right now while shows take a break!
