Warehouse Circus: Celebrating 35 Years🎈
We can't wait to share all our exciting plans for 2025!
Dear Circus Enthusiasts,
Welcome to Term 1, 2025!
It’s fabulous to see all our students back at circus this week! We hope that everyone had a restful summer break, and look forward to learning new skills, meeting new students and trainers, and having a great start to the new term!
🎪Circus-a-thon! Saturday, 1st March in Woden Square
On Saturday, 1st March, we are running a Circus-a-thon from 12-4pm to launch the Canberra Circus Festival 2025, and to promote our Hands Across Canberra Save-A-Seat program!
The Circus-athon is a 4-hour non-stop circus extravaganza in Woden Square! It will feature amazing acts, cool tricks, fun circus skill jams, and more! We would love your support on the day, whether you’d like to perform, volunteer to help us set up and collect donations, or just come along and enjoy the atmosphere on the day.
Contact ccf@warehousecircus.org.au if you’d like to perform or volunteer!
Our Save-A-Seat program provides tickets to an individual or family facing financial hardship or other barriers to inclusion to attend Canberra Circus Festival big top family circus shows. The tickets are donated directly to those in need by local businesses and individuals, through the Canberra Day Appeal through our partnership with Hands Across Canberra.
Getting to see live performances is a big experience that everyone should enjoy!
The circus brings wonder, joy, and connection. But for many people, going to a live performance is out of reach as financial barriers and disadvantage make it hard to access these important first experiences. By supporting our Circus-a-thon and Save-A-Seat program, you are helping to make the Canberra Circus Festival accessible to all members of our community, and supporting Warehouse Circus's mission to improve the mental and physical health of young people through the medium of social circus.

🎂 Warehouse turns 35!
In celebration of our 35th year, we are looking back through the archives, and sharing the images, stories and memories from our history.
Here’s the poster from our last circus-a-thon, back in 2003!
In May, 2003, Warehouse troupe students participated in a 24-hour non-stop circus-a-thon to raise money and awareness for Warehouse Circus’s plight. Non-stop performances from Warehouse circus members past and present made sure there was never a moment where there wasn’t something interesting happening on stage. Acrobats performing in the frost at 3am in Garema Place was a sleepy sight to behold!Lewie West, Ali O’Dea and Owen Abbott are a force to be recognised as they commit to being on stage all night. Meanwhile, the rest of the troupe are asleep in the back of the truck!
If you have memories or photos that you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you!
