Dear Circus Enthusiasts,
It’s time for the Circus-A-Thon! We can’t wait to see you there this Saturday!
🤹 Circus-a-thon! 🤸
On Saturday, 1st March, we are running a Circus-a-thon from 12-4pm to launch the Canberra Circus Festival 2025, and to promote our Hands Across Canberra Save-A-Seat program!
The Circus-a-thon is a 4-hour non-stop circus extravaganza in Woden Square! It will feature amazing acts, cool tricks, fun circus skill jams, and more!
Our Save-A-Seat program provides tickets to an individual or family facing financial hardship or other barriers to inclusion to attend Canberra Circus Festival big top family circus shows. The tickets are donated directly to those in need by local businesses and individuals, through the Canberra Day Appeal through our partnership with Hands Across Canberra.
From now until 20 March 2025, every dollar donated to Warehouse Circus through Hands Across Canberra will be doubled with matched funding for the first $2,500 raised. So, if you can, please head to the link below to donate!
💜 Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! 💜
🎂 Warehouse Circus - Celebrating 35 Years
Each week, we will be sharing a small piece of Warehouse Circus history to celebrate our 35th birthday!
Today we have two years to share: 1991 and 1992!
1991
The circus performs at Floriade for the first time. Karen Yaldren and Kylie O’Keeffe joined the circus in the beginning of 1991. Pictured above: ‘The Youth Circus’ performing in Woden Plaza.
1992
Many of the Canberra Youth Circus gang sign up for ‘Summer School’, an Arts Council run project open to the public, which ended with a bigtop extravaganza of all the performers who attended. David Jacquier begins working with Canberra Youth Circus.
