❄️ Winter in the City
These holidays, there are lots of incredible circus shows in Garema Place as part of Winter in the City! And what’s more, they’re all FREE, and feature a number of Warehouse Circus staff members!

🚀 Blast off with Mission to the Moon — a high-energy show blending circus, theatre, and real space science. Join three acrobatic astronauts (including our team member Georgia from 5-8th July!) as they defy gravity with humour, skill, and fascinating space facts. Inspired by NASA’s Artemis Program and fresh from Adelaide Fringe 2025, this free performance in Canberra captures young imaginations and brings the wonder of space to life.
👨🚒 The Circus Firemen light up the stage with acrobatics, fire juggling, and daring ladder stunts — a thrilling show for all ages. Blending traditional circus with Australian humour, Angus and Matilda (aka our team member Idris…) have performed across Australia and internationally, from Woodford Folk Festival to the Auckland International Buskers Festival.
🎪 Always wanted to see Circus Oz? Now’s your chance – and it’s free this winter in Canberra! Experience a collision of comedy, clowning, acrobatics, skipping, bows and arrows, beauty, muscles, music, flying trapeze, juggling, slapstick, crazy antics and daredevilry from an eclectic ensemble spanning six decades. It’s a sheer delight – full of joy, energy and fun for all ages.
🔥After a stellar 2024 season, Flux Entertainment is back—bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever! Get ready for all-new pyrotechnic stunts, plus pre-show performances from incredible local talent every day to Jessy Spin performance July 19. Our team member Cora is performing on July 10th!

Last Chance! Grill’d Woden Fundraiser
We have a Local Matters jar at Grill’d Woden this month, so keep your eyes peeled and put a token in our jar when you go to grab a burger! Every month, each Grill’d restaurant splits $500 between three groups doing amazing work in the community —and that’s where YOUR vote counts. It’s only for this month (so only a couple of days left!), and if we have the most tokens in our jar at the end of the month we get the biggest share of the $500 donation!
🎂 Warehouse Circus - Celebrating 35 Years
Each week, we will be sharing a small piece of Warehouse Circus history to celebrate our 35th birthday!
This week we’re looking back at 2009!
Warehouse Circus makes a movie! ‘Performer’s Wanted’ made in 2009, launched at Questacon in 2010 with live shows and workshops.
Watch Performers Wanted here!
The Bungee School Program in partnership with Belconnen Community Theatre helps Warehouse sustain TWO full time trainers!
Jeremy Davies joins the cast of Circus Oz.
Lewie West graduates from NICA and immediately signs up with CiRCA.
El and Julia Kirschbaum purchase a geodesic dome performance venue they call The Bally! It premieres at Corinbank Festival and appears at many festivals in Canberra and around the country. Managing this venue leads them to the Adelaide Fringe, helping showcase emerging arts companies from alumni including Tom Davis, Poncho Circus, Jane Schofield, Chris Singer and many more.
This partnership with Gluttony Arts Park at Adelaide Fringe sees El eventually become a partner in the enterprise.
Michelle Longhurst becomes president of the board.
